In a Joint Venture with Borr Drilling, Front End's fleet of Jack-up Drilling Rigs are currently under operation in the Safaniya and Marjan oil fields; these offshore rigs, located at Arabia 1, 2 and 3 have a great safety and efficiency score in Saudi Aramco. 

Front End provided essential boat services to Saudi Aramco, aiding in the company's efforts to develop the Zuluf AH Development for Water Injection Facilities, for both the North and South flanks. This program aims to increase the Zuluf Field Production by 2023 to meet the Maximum Sustained Capacity.

Front End’s Marine Department undertakes a comprehensive approach to ensuring the safety and security of Saudi Aramco's maritime operations. This includes implementing strict access control protocols, continuous surveillance of offshore installations and surrounding waters, as well as collaborations with local and national maritime security agencies to enhance overall safety measures. Additionally, emergency response teams are established and trained to handle situations such as oil spills or security breaches, while regular inspections and routine patrols of offshore assets are conducted to maintain security integrity and readiness. 

Front End managed logistics, operations, and project management for this joint effort program with Saudi Aramco to develop AI-driven software – Automation in Seismic Interpretation – that extracts geological features out of seismic data from various data sources, allowing geoscientists to build sufficiently accurate 3D datasets as well as geological models for oil and gas prospecting.

In 2021, 3D Airborne Multiphysics techniques were employed to gather geophysical data in the Turayqa area of the Rub Al-Khali desert. The data, collected via two methods – Helicopter-borne time-domain EM (µTEM)  and Ground Penetrating Radar – resulted in having a very competitive out-of-the-box ultra-resolution, low-cost solution for mass seismic aerial exploration. This ultimately contributed to understanding the subsurface structure and potential hydrocarbon resources. This project received global recognition whereby Saudi Aramco won the Best Exploration Technology Award at the prestigious 21st World Oil Awards ceremony in Houston, Texas.

In 2016, Front End and Kietta completed a pioneering seismic exploration project in the Red Sea for Saudi Aramco, marking the world’s first use of autonomous marine drones with Kietta’s FreeCable technology. This innovative system deployed zero-buoyancy cables at depths up to 100m, maintained by Remotely Operated Autonomous Vehicles (RAVs), delivering broadband, long-offset, and full-azimuth seismic data with exceptional quality and a high signal-to-noise ratio. Executed with precision and speed, the project overcame the region’s complex geological challenges, providing Saudi Aramco with critical subsurface insights for reservoir characterization while setting a new standard for efficient, scalable marine seismic acquisition.

Front End oversaw logistics, operations, and project management for this initiative for Saudi Aramco. The project involved implementing a wireless seismic system for data acquisition during seismic surveys. The adoption of wireless technology eliminated the need for physical cables, enhancing flexibility and efficiency in data collection.
